This year's PhotoMonth Open Call Exhibition, Unity and Community, brings together photographs by 18 artists from all around the world, and is a response to drastic regression toward division and discrimination seen in cities all across the globe and, significantly, London. Photograph Arts believes that London's greatest strengths as a cultural and artistic hub is the creation and preservation of community by all people that find a home here.
Accompanying the exhibition are two group shows from London Metropolitan and York St John Universities, and Seamus Murphy's Para (পাড়া), showing recent works from Kolkata, curated by Zelda Cheatle.
Unity and Community is produced by Photograph Arts and curated by Ishy Pryce-Parchment, Tom Hunter, Cherelle Sappleton, and Leah Mclaine.

Set within this AUTOFOTO workshop, The Workshop Show: Mutinous Bodies is an invitation to untangle and share the burden of chronic illness, using the photobooth. The mechanical and analogue processes of this machine are perfect collaborators, arbitrarily glitching and malfunctioning; reflecting the unreliable bodies inside. The resulting portrait strips will then be annotated to reveal family histories of hereditary conditions, increasing visibility, and deepening public understanding of invisible illnesses. Jenny Lewis encourages participants to add their portraits and experiences to this evolving body of work.

A symposium event by Ishy Pryce-Parchment and Lea Rebollo, hosted by Avijit Datta and Helen Julia Minors at York St John University in London.
The Togetherness of Things asks what happens when we approach community not as a stable concept of relation, but as something continually made, challenged, and transformed through aesthetic encounters. The title draws from Alessandra Raengo's discussion of what Fred Moten calls a "church problem": "a problem of how stuff goes together." For Raengo, this is a problem of the "togetherness of things." It describes how disparate elements, materials, and aesthetics congregate and form collective social or political meaning.
With DG03 Collective, Megan Taylor, Seamus Murphy, Sukhy Hullait, TPG Develop Collective and The Voicing Project.
