PhotoMonth 2025 was the reedition of Maggie Pinhorn's original East London PhotoMonth Photography Festival that ran from 2001 to 2018. In 2025, PhotoMonth brought together over 60 exhibitions across South and North East London postcodes with an open call exhibition at the Arts Pavilion at Mile End Park. The aim of the Festival was to promote inclusivity and accessibility in London's photography scene.

PhotoMonth brought together over sixty exhibitions throughout the month in various traditional, independent, and makeshift spaces across E and SE London postcodes. Participating Artists were from all over the world and represented a wide range of ages and career levels. The aim of the festival was to promote inclusivity and accessibility in London's photography scene.

‘Wonderland – The Joy of Analogue: Portraits from 1955-1995’

Held at Yorkton Workshops, the exhibition celebrated four decades of analogue portrait photography, showcasing the artistry and craftsmanship of photographers working with film and traditional darkroom processes before the digital age.

Featuring rare original prints from private collections and photographers’ archives, Wonderland brought together iconic portraits of figures including Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Chet Baker, and Jean Shrimpton alongside compelling images of the infamous and the anonymous.

In it's 2025 edition, PhotoMonth was privileged to welcome the participation of major public spaces, from Tate Modern and Tate Britain, Whitechapel Gallery, and Autograph, to established independent galleries including Four Corners, private spaces and local libraries, bookshops, and unconventional buildings.
